Hartecs were engaged to provide independent construction and quality surveillance on behalf of Sunwater.

Hartecs Group supported Sunwater by serving in an independent surveillance team appended to the Alliance. Their role was crucial in offering construction planning and delivery support to ensure high-quality outcomes. This independent surveillance team was established based on recommendations from comprehensive reviews of previous project performances. By assisting Sunwater and the Alliance, they contributed significantly to achieving prestigious recognition within the industry.

The Rookwood Weir Project is the largest weir constructed in Australia Since WWII.   The weir site is approximately 265kms (AMTD) upstream on the Fitzroy River and approximately 66km south-west of Rockhampton.  Weir specifications:

  • Spillway length = 202m
  • Total structure = 350m
  • Concrete = 131,000m3
  • Full volume 74,325 Megalitres
