Rockhampton Ring Road
Infrastructure Planning & Advisory

The $1.73 billion Rockhampton Ring Road is a long-term, visionary project for the Bruce Highway. The project aims to unlock future economic growth for the Central Queensland Region as well as delivering significant benefits across improved flood resilience, freight efficiency, road safety and reduced travel times.

The Ring Road includes approximately 17km of new two and four laned highway, a new high-level bridge across the Fitzroy River, plus 18 other bridges and 4 major intersections.

Hartecs have played an integral role in the preconstruction and construction activities for the largest road infrastructure project in Central Queensland. Hartecs were appointed in two separate but inter-related Project Management roles supporting DTMR on the project. Our roles included:

Project Manager (PUP) which has included acting as the sole point of contact for the PUP authorities to be able to design and arrange relocations of various services (Ergon, Telstra, Optus, NBN, APA, Jemena, Water & Sewer) for the design and construction of all PUP works.
