Rockhampton Regional Council endorsed a redevelopment program for the Botanic Gardens and Zoo, one of the major tourism contributions to the region consisting of a variety of native exotic flora and fauna with over 300,000 visitors.
Hartecs have been leading the redevelopment program since 2022. Our role has included the management of a dynamic and complex infrastructure program of works through planning, prioritisation, assurance, governance, procurement, design, construction and commissioning. This has included the development and on-going refinement of a ten-year staged implementation plan for the site, and the management of respective projects through design and construction.
Our role has included extensive facilitation and engagement to ensure the project objectives align across stakeholders and detailed critical analysis, review and evaluation of infrastructure & non-infrastructure options to ensure value-for-money solutions were being delivered.
