Hartecs were engaged as the Independent Superintendent providing contract management oversight.

Hartecs Group was engaged to serve as the Independent Superintendent under the terms of the Modified 2124 Contract, overseeing essential functions such as supervision, administration, surveillance, and coordination. We worked along side sunwaters site team to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of the Works in full compliance with the construction Contract requirements.

Paradise Dam is situated approximately 20 kms north/west of Biggenden and 80 kms south/west of Bundaberg on the Burnett River. The maximum height of the structure is 52 m with the primary construction material being roller compacted concrete (RCC).  The dam has fixed crest spillways with no controls on overflow.

The scope of this contract included
  • The Strengthening of the Toe of Monoliths D and K with in the primary Spillway
  • Repairs to scouring on the left bank
  • Construction of a permanent Bridge to allow access across the downstream waterway
