The Bruce Highway $500m package includes 8 projects along the Bruce Highway to improve safety and construct additional overtaking lanes as a part of the ‘The Real Bruce Plan’ to have overtaking lanes every 5km.
Hartecs were engaged as a Project Manager (Planning) to support Department of Transport and Main Roads, Fitzroy with the preconstruction and planning activities for these projects, and take the project from concept through to Issued for Construction (IFC), to allow handover to the delivery teams.
This included:
- Creation of Options Analysis, Project Proposal Reports, Business Cases and drawings for projects
- Management of external consultants for Business Cases and Cost-Benefit analysis
- Review and submission of project proposal reports and Business Cases
- Consultation with local stakeholders, including Aurizon, Telstra and Ergon for early engagement of relocation of assets
- Management of projects cost, time and quality
